The Anchor Hocking name is nearly synonymous with glassware. The Anchor Hocking Company, in existence for more than a century, makes and markets beverageware (glasses, pitchers), cookware (pans, casserole dishes), servingware (platters, cake sets, punch bowls), storage items (canisters), and giftware (vases). It also serves as a third-party manufacturer for other companies. Anchor Hocking products are sold through US retailers, such as Wal-Mart and Target, as well as directly to foodservice and specialty markets. Private equity firm Monomoy Capital Partners, which focuses on middle market investments, bought Anchor Hocking in 2007 for $75 million.
