CardioGenics is a Canadian biochemical firm in the business of developing products for the in vitro diagnostic testing market. CardioGenics' main products include the QL Care Analyzer, a point of care immuno-analyzer designed to run a variety of diagnostic tests to identify cardiovascular problems, as well as four immunoassay tests (which are awaiting FDA approval) to identify cardiac markers at the time of heart attack. CardioGenics targets physicians' offices, hospital emergency rooms, and other locations looking to perform these types of tests onsite. The company is led by CEO Yahia Gawad, who has about a 35% share in CardioGenics.
