Astute Networks' processors are astute at driving networking devices. The company designs specialized microprocessors that are embedded into various types of high-tech gear, including networking and data storage equipment. The Pericles storage processor is named after an ancient Greek statesman who was the subject of a play by William Shakespeare. The company has also added the Caspian line of data storage blades and the Athens storage processor. Astute Networks was founded in 2000.
