Arryx is HOT. It makes the BioRyx 200 system, which uses a holographic laser steering device to hold, move, rotate, separate, and stretch microscopic objects in manufacturing and process control applications -- also known as "holographic optical trapping" (HOT). BioRyx 200 employs Arryx's HOT technology to non-invasively capture and manipulate microscopic objects such as cells and vesicles. The branded HOTkit combines a spatial light modulator with Arryx software to form the basis for the HOT system. Customers include the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Arryx functions as a wholly owned subsidiary of Haemonetics, a designer and manufacturer of automated blood processing systems.
