ABS Computer Technologies designs and builds made-to-order personal computers. Based on processors from either AMD or Intel, its Ultimate desktop and Mayhem notebook systems can be customized for gaming, multimedia, or professional applications. ABS has grown into one of the largest custom specialty PC suppliers. The company also resells third-party software and accessories. ABS was established in 1990. Founder and CEO Fred Chang is the majority shareholder. ABS helped give birth to Newegg.com, the popular Web portal for electronics, and now it is a subsidiary of the younger venture.
