MEGA Brands Inc. Company Profile
MEGA Brands is working to ensure that today's kids don't wind up as blockheads. Founded as Mega Bloks in 1985, the company makes plastic building blocks and other construction and magnetic toys, as well as puzzles, and games for kids ages 0 to six years old and up. Brands include Mega Bloks, Mega Puzzles, Magnext, RoseArt, and Board Dudes. To better focus on its core toy business and reduce debt, MEGA Brands put its stationery and activities business (about a third of sales) on the block in early 2008, but decided not to sell as economic conditions worsened later in the year. Its products are sold in more than 100 countries worldwide and in the US at Target, Toys "R" Us, and Wal-Mart stores, among others.
