Not to be confused with UVA (ultraviolet light), this UVa won't get you tan, but it could probably get you well-rested. At the heart of the University of Virginia Health System (known to many as simply UVa Health System) is the University of Virginia Medical Center, an acute care hospital with about 590 beds. The health system boasts over 35 facilities, including clinics and specialty care centers for heart disease, cancer, women's health, digestive disorders, and neurological conditions. UVa Health System also encompasses the University of Virginia School of Medicine, University of Virginia School of Nursing, Claude Moore Health Sciences Library, and the University of Virginia Health Services Foundation.
