Development, which does business as BRAVO BRIO Restaurant Group, operates more than 70 upscale casual-dining spots in about 30 states, primarily in Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Its flagship chain, Bravo! Cucina Italiana, offers a wide variety of Italian dishes, including pasta, pizza, and several Tuscan-style specialties. The company's other concepts include Brio Tuscan Grille and Bon Vie Bistro (French cuisine). Private equity firms Bruckmann, Rosser, Sherrill and Castle Harlan together own 80% of BRAVO! Development; founders and brothers Chris and Rick Doody, who opened their first restaurant in 1992, own the remaining 20%.
