Duke Energy Ohio (formerly Cincinnati Gas & Electric) distributes electricity and natural gas in Cincinnati and surrounding areas, including portions of Indiana and Kentucky (through subsidiary Duke Energy Kentucky). The subsidiary of energy holding company Duke Energy has 690,000 power and 425,000 gas customers. Duke Energy Ohio serves residential, commercial, and industrial customers over approximately 19,500 miles of distribution lines and a 2,500-mile transmission system in Ohio and Kentucky. The company's Commercial Power's assets are comprised of approximately 7,550 MW of power generation primarily located in the Midwest.
