With a fleet of more than 100,000 trailers, XTRA Lease is in it for the long haul. The company offers rental, lease, and lease/purchase packages for over-the-road trailers (including refrigerated, storage, and flatbed trailers), dry vans, and specialty equipment through 80-plus locations throughout North America. The company also offers services including emergency roadside assistance, pickup and delivery, and registration and licensing. Founded in 1992 after the merger of AJF Leasing and Strick Lease, XTRA Lease became a subsidiary of Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway holding company in 2001.
