Kaiser Permanente hopes to be a permanent leader in US healthcare. The not-for-profit entity is among the largest integrated healthcare systems in the US. The company offers health care services through a network of nearly 14,000 physicians belonging to Permanente Medical Groups; 32 medical centers and more than 400 medical offices that form the Kaiser Foundation Hospitals; and the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, which covers some 8.7 million people (most of which are in California). Kaiser Permanente is primarily bi-coastal, active in California, Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Maryland, Ohio, Oregon, Virginia, Washington, and Washington, DC.
