The restaurants serve burgers, steaks, and sandwiches, but the chain is best known for chicken wings, some of which are served so hot that customers must sign release forms. Menu items have whimsical, car-themed names, such as Chicken Fenders, Fish Tailin', the GTO Gyro. The company was founded by George Warren and Gary Meszaros, who opened their first Quaker Steak outlet in 1974.
