Hynix Semiconductor America (HSA) helps Hynix get a fix on its American markets. The company is the North American branch of Hynix Semiconductor. HSA's scope includes the development, sales, marketing, and distribution of semiconductors, as well as R&D activities that support Hynix. DRAMs, static RAMs, flash memory devices, and application-specific integrated circuits are just some of the product areas that HSA specializes in, along with embedded flash drives for MP3 players, video-game consoles, mobile phones, and other consumer electronics. Formerly part of the South Korea-based Hyundai conglomerate, Hynix is a leading maker of computer memory chips.
