The company is the competitive marketing and services arm of holding company Northeast Utilities. Select Energy provides electricity and natural gas to more than 30,000 retail customers in 12 northeastern states (where utility markets have been deregulated) and is one of the region's top suppliers. Select Energy also trades and markets wholesale energy commodities in the region and provides procurement, transportation, and storage services.
