Restaurant & Market. Inspired by the 1994 film Forrest Gump, the casual dining restaurants offer a menu of seafood appetizers, entrees, and sandwiches. The chain has restaurants in 10 states and half a dozen other countries; most are are located at tourist destinations, such as the Mall of America and the Universal Orlando theme park. CEO Scott Barnett struck a licensing deal with Paramount Pictures in 1996 to convert units of the Rusty Pelican restaurant chain into Gump-themed eateries.
