Lots of little pieces have joined together to form The Mosaic Company's big picture. The company ranks as one of the world's largest makers of phosphate and potash crop nutrients. Mosaic's potash operations is positioned at the top of the industry, along with K+S and PotashCorp, with about 15% of the market. Its feed-grade phosphate production ranks second behind PotashCorp's, also with about 15% of the world market. The company's potash mines are located in Canada and the US. Mosaic does more than two-thirds of its business outside the US; India and Brazil are its biggest international markets. Cargill, the second-largest private company in the US (behind Koch), owns almost two-thirds of Mosaic.
