If you thought KBR was only about government contracts in Iraq, think again. The construction and engineering company operates in more than 45 countries through six business units: upstream and downstream petrochemical and energy services, government and infrastructure, management services, technology, and joint ventures. Although its contracts in Iraq account for about 50% of its sales, the company also focuses on its civil engineering and construction operations. KBR builds, designs, and manages airports and energy and chemical plants; provides engineering, environmental, and transportation services; performs security and threat analyses; and designs and manages urban rail projects.
