If you're willing to part with both an arm and a leg, you may be able to afford a college education on your own. If not, there's always The Student Loan Corporation. One of the top education lenders in the US, the company offers student loans primarily under the Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) program, which is authorized by the US Department of Education. Most of these loans are originated through financial services giant Citigroup, which owns 80% of The Student Loan Corporation. Through its CitiAssist program, the company also offers private education loans to students who either do not qualify for government student loan programs or seek additional financial aid beyond the amount provided under FFEL.
