The company designs, makes, and distributes manufactured homes and towable recreational vehicles (RVs), including single-section and multi-section prefab houses, travel trailers, fifth-wheel trailers, and park models. It distributes its products through independent dealers and housing communities throughout the US. The company's homes are most often purchased by customers over the age of 50, while its RVs are marketed towards vacationing middle-income families, retired couples, and sports enthusiasts. Skyline sold some 2,700 manufactured homes and some 2,800 RVs in fiscal year 2009, about half of what it sold the previous year.
