Allied Beverage Group is considered the largest New Jersey-based wine and spirits distributor and one of the 10 largest in the US. The company, which specializes in fine wines, sells beverages to restaurants and other establishments that serve alcohol. Among its divisions are Flagstaff Distributors, Meritage Wine Group, and J&J Distributing. Its Majestic Wine & Spirits is a brokerage and direct wholesale business in Pennsylvania. Allied Beverage, which is a distributor for Diageo, was created in 1996 from the merger of the Baxter Group, F&A Distributing Company, and Jaydor (companies that date back to the 1930s, just after the repeal of Prohibition).
