Tishcon is a contract manufacturer of over-the-counter pharmaceuticals, vitamins, minerals, and other nutraceuticals. The company has the ability to make a variety of oral drug delivery systems, including capsules, chewable tablets, and softgels; it also makes instant, sustained, and dual release formulas. Tishcon's drug, Ubiquinol, received orphan drug status to treat pediatric congestive heart failure and Huntington's disease. The FDA's orphan status gives the company exclusive rights to market the drug for seven years. Clients include American Scientific Resources, the maker of the Heart Smart line of cardiovascular health nutraceuticals.
