The contract pharmaceutical manufacturer develops and manufactures branded and generic prescription and OTC pharmaceuticals with an emphasis on time-released formulations. Its products include cold and cough remedies and nutritional supplements. Customers are primarily pharmaceutical distributors and other manufacturers. Neos Therapeutics was slapped hard by the FDA in 2007 for manufacturing unapproved drugs. The action prompted a change in ownership and the company was required to re-file its drug applications in order to resume manufacturing.
