It isn't difficult to understand what business Comaplex Minerals is in. The company explores for precious and base metals, as well as diamonds, in Canada. It has land holdings in Nunavut Territory (near the northwestern shore of Hudson Bay), where it's exploring for gold and diamonds; the Timmins area of Ontario, in which it holds a 67% to 100% interest in seven separate gold and base metal properties; and in Newfoundland, where it's drilling for soapstone. In 2007 Comaplex sold its interest in Mexico's Caballo Blanco property to Almaden Minerals for $1.25 million. Founded in 1987, Comaplex also holds stakes in oil and natural gas properties to help fund its mining activities.
