The company is one of the largest US movers, along with sister company Mayflower Transit and SIRVA's North American Van Lines and Allied Van Lines units. Besides providing moving and relocation services, United Van Lines also transports trade show exhibits, museum and fine arts items, and high-value equipment such as electronics. It works with sister company UniGroup Worldwide UTS to offer international moving services. Overall, United Van Lines has a network of more than 1,000 agents around the world, including some 500 in the US. United Van Lines, which traces its roots back to 1928, is owned by its agents.
