No DSP (Delta Sigma Phi) fraternity, 3DSP does develop the digital signal processors (DSPs) and software for socializing, be it audio, broadband communication, or multimedia. Its DSP core architecture is configurable and scalable, which means that system designers can license the core to roll out their own custom chip yet retain software compatibility with similar products. The company has licensed its technology to Syntek, ATI Technologies (part of AMD), National Semiconductor, and Sony, among other chip makers. 3DSP is a privately financed company, held by its officers and outside investors, Alcatel-Lucent Ventures, Intel Capital, and Syntek Semiconductor.
