It's a splendid time to be in the motion picture business. At least, that's what Splendid Medien thinks. The German firm is a holding company for a handful of subsidiaries and affiliates, such as movie acquisition and distribution company Splendid Film and video and DVD marketing arm Polyband. Splendid Television co-produces mini-series and TV movies, and Splendid Synchron dubs English-language films into German. Splendid Medien's library includes "Traffic, Dr. T and the Women", and "Shadow of the Vampire". The company was also involved in the production of the box office hits "Gangs of New York" and "My Big Fat Greek Wedding". CEO Andreas Klein owns more than half of Splendid Medien.
