If you think ButterBurgers are better burgers, then you're probably a fan of Culver's. Culver Franchising System operates a chain of about 420 Culver's quick-service restaurants popular for their signature ButterBurgers (hamburgers served on a grilled buttered bun) and frozen custard. The chain's menu also includes chicken, fish, and pork sandwiches; salads; and dinner items such as shrimp and Norwegian cod. Culver's has locations in Wisconsin and about 15 other states. Nearly all of the restaurants are operated by franchisees. Chairman and CEO Craig Culver started the family business in 1984.
