BlueStar Solutions provides enterprise application outsourcing services, primarily for managing SAP software. The company was founded in 1995 and acquired another application service provider, Agilera, in 2003. Customers include Astaris, Autodesk, Electroglas, Mission Linen Supply, and the Southern California Association of Governments. Among BlueStar's investors were General Motors, Morgan Stanley Venture Partners, and Trident Capital. Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) acquired BlueStar in 2004 for about $73 million in cash, and will make the ASP into its new Application Managed Services division. BlueStar EVP Rusty Harris will be managing director of the division.
