ABC Cable Networks Group wants to work a little magic on the television dial. The unit of Disney/ABC Television Group owns and operates a portfolio of cable television networks including entertainment channels ABC Family. It also owns Disney Channels Worldwide which operates kids' networks the Disney Channel and Disney XD; other kids' programming is distributed under Disney Junior (launched in 2012) and Jetix. (Through ABC Family, ABC Cable Networks owns animation distributor Jetix Europe.) In addition, ABC Cable Networks holds a 42% stake in A&E Television. Disney/ABC Television Group oversees the television broadcasting, production, and distribution operations of media giant Walt Disney.
