Cetek wants to electrify your drug pipeline. The biotechnology company uses electrophoresis and other research technologies to identify drug candidates in its library of more than 20,000 organic compounds. This library is built from tissue extracts from natural sources around the world. The firm also uses its core CE Assay to screen partners' libraries of synthetic compounds. Cetek has screened more than 150 targets and 6 million compounds with more than 25 collaborators, including Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Johnson & Johnson, and Schering-Plough, in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
