Authoria has an authoritative view when it comes to human resources. The company provides human capital management software that combines communications, compensation and performance management, succession planning, recruiting, and benefits plan administration applications. Its customers have included Aetna, Bank of America, Carlson, Pepsi, Pfizer, Royal Caribbean Cruises, and Sears. Founded in 1997 the company was acquired in 2008 by Bedford Funding for about $63 million. As part of the deal, Bedford announced it was investing an additional $8 million in expanding Authoria's marketing and sales efforts.
