LNP Engineering Plastics changed its corporate colors but not its plastic heart. Once a subsidiary of Kawasaki Steel, the company was sold to GE Plastics, a unit of GE. LNP makes compounded plastics (used in a variety of applications) through 11 plants in the Asia/Pacific region, Europe, Mexico, South America, and the US. The company primarily serves the automotive, health care, technology, and industrial markets. Its main products include glass and carbon fiber compounds, internally lubricated thermoplastics, and thermoplastic compounds with electrically and thermally conductive fillers. LNP has been combined with GE's Custom Engineered Products business.
