Fujitsu Siemens Computers has used home field advantage to compete with the likes of Dell, Hewlett-Packard, and IBM in Europe. The company sells desktop and notebook PCs, as well as handheld computers, high-end servers and mainframes, storage devices, and peripherals. Fujitsu Siemens also offers consulting and support services, financing, and software licensing. Most of its sales are in Europe, with Germany alone accounting for more than 40% of its revenue. Fujitsu Siemens sells to both consumer and corporate customers. The 50-50 joint venture was formed in 1999 through the merger of the European computer operations of global giants Fujitsu and Siemens.
