Tracing its roots back to the 1880s, Columbia Records Group is one of the leading recording labels in the US. It boasts a roster of popular artists such as Aerosmith, Dixie Chicks, Beyonce, and Bruce Springsteen. It has also produced soundtrack albums for films, including A Mighty Wind, Men in Black II, and Strictly Ballroom, as well as compilation albums such as We're a Happy Family - A Tribute to The Ramones. In addition to recorded CDs, the label markets DVDs and distributes videos and streaming audio over the Internet. Columbia is a division of music giant Sony Music Entertainment.
