The company operates in three main business areas organized along the markets it serves: passenger car and light truck (body panels, fenders, door assemblies, consoles, bumpers, pickup beds), commercial truck (sleeper cabs, hoods, bumpers, doors, roofs), and consumer and industrial (parts of golf carts, personal watercraft, and tractors). Meridian's major customers have included Ford, General Motors, Daimler, and Chrysler. Meridian has been caught in a squeeze faced by many parts makers, between rising prices for raw materials and cost-reduction efforts by US auto manufacturers.
