The Kantar Group, a division of advertising giant WPP Group, is one of the world's largest market research organizations. It operates across 160 offices through some 20 specialist companies in 80 countries, including Millward Brown, Lightspeed Research, Cannondale Associates, The Futures Company, The Ziment Group, and Research International. The group offers a wide range of custom and syndicated research services covering such sectors as business-to-business, financial services, health care, and retail. Kantar also encompasses brand consultancies, demographics firms, and media researchers. In late 2008, WPP acquired TNS (formerly Taylor Nelson Sofres) and folded it under Kantar's operations.
