Acuity Brands keeps things light. The lighting products manufacturer makes items that range from residential and commercial lighting fixtures to the high-mast systems used to illuminate highways, parking lots, rail yards, and seaports. Acuity's brands include MetalOptics, Gotham, and Peerless. The company's Acuity Brands Technology Services (ABTS) subsidiary includes SAERIS (lighting projects for commercial properties) and ROAM (lighting and security systems that use wireless and network controls). With production evenly divided between the US and Mexico, the company's more than 15 manufacturing facilities produce about 100,000 light fixtures per day. Almost 90% of sales come from the US.
