PHOENIX Pharmahandel plans to rise in Europe. The company is one of the largest pharmaceutical wholesalers in Germany and in Europe, with a presence in more than 20 countries. It delivers some 100,000 products through around 150 offices across the continent. An aggressive acquisition policy has made PHOENIX a major player in Europe, where it earns about half of its revenues. PHOENIX also provides pharmacy management services and runs an online ordering system. The company is majority-owned by Germany-based Merckle Group, a pharmaceutical conglomerate.
