National Foods knows what it takes to milk milk. As one of Australia's biggest dairy companies, National Foods markets milk under brands such as the PURA, Farmers Union, Big M, King Island, and Masters flavored milks. The company is the market leader in fresh dairy foods including Berri juice, Yoplait yogurt, and Tasmanian Heritage (cheese). National Foods also sells specialty cheese and gourmet foods. It operates in every state in Australia and New Zealand. In 2008 National acquired Australian Co-operative Foods (better known as Dairy Farmers), a deal that substantially increased its operations, number of brands and company visibility.
