A certain famous mouse may live in the Magic Kingdom, but he works in Hollywood. The Walt Disney Studios, the motion picture arm of The Walt Disney Company, is one of the world's largest movie businesses. Its live-action titles, including films from its hit Pirates of the Caribbean series, are produced and distributed through the Walt Disney Pictures and Touchstone banners. Its Miramax subsidiary acquires, produces, and distributes independent films (No Country for Old Men). Disney Studios co-finances and distributes the animated works of subsidiary Pixar (Up). The firm also runs Walt Disney Feature Animation and Walt Disney Home Entertainment. Other divisions are devoted to music and live stage plays.
