Customers can trade online via the company's Scottrade, Scottrader, and ScottradeELITE Web-based platforms, as well as by phone, wireless device, or through a broker at one of the firm's more than 350 branch offices in nearly all 50 states (with a concentration on both coasts). The company also offers certificates of deposit, individual retirement accounts, and Coverdell education savings accounts. Scottrade, which has more than 1.5 active accounts, is controlled by founder and CEO Rodger Riney.
