Siemens Communications Group provides network operators and businesses with a wide array of products and services. The group consists of three primary divisions of global electronics and industrial giant Siemens AG: Carrier (Fixed Networks, Mobile Networks, Carrier Services), Siemens Enterprise Communications, and Wireless Modules (now part of Siemens Group Automation and Drives). In mid-2006 Siemens announced plans to merge its carrier-related operations with the Networks Business Group of telecom giant Nokia; the joint venture, slated to begin business in 2007, will be called Nokia Siemens Networks.
