It owns such popular TV channels as American Movie Classics (AMC), The Independent Film Channel (IFC), Sundance Channel, and WE: Women's Entertainment. In addition, the company owns sports and entertainment firm Madison Square Garden (MSG), which operates Manhattan's famous sports venue along with professional sports franchises the New York Knicks (basketball) and New York Rangers (hockey). Rainbow Media is a subsidiary of cable operator Cablevision Systems.
