If you prefer the aroma of breakfast to cup-shaped springtime blooms, you'll be glad to know that Tulip grows pigs not flowers. The result of a 2004 merger between Danish Crown's UK subsidiary and Flagship Foods, Tulip is one of the UK's largest meat groups. As a fully integrated meat producer, Tulip oversees its own pig production, slaughterhouses, and meat processing facilities to produce bacon, deli meats, cooked meats, and fried and marinated poultry. The company operates in four main products groups: bacon, luncheon meat, canned goods, and poultry products. Tulip also markets SPAM and Stagg products in the UK for the US company, Hormel.
