Crédit Industriel et Commercial, commonly known as CIC, is made up of seven banks that serve Paris and five other regions of France. The company offers savings accounts, mortgages, and loans; it also owns stakes in specialized entities involved in private banking, asset management, leasing, securities brokerage, and property/casualty insurance. CIC serves more than 3 million retail customers and 100,000 business clients through about 1,850 offices in France. The bank also has representative offices in some 35 countries around the world. Entities affiliated with French banking group Crédit Mutuel own more than 90% of CIC.
