Submarine "U-571" is just one of the film properties that have traveled through the waters of StudioCanal. Formerly Canal + Image, the leading French film company co-produces films such as "Bridget Jones's Diary" (with Working Title Films) and distributes them in Europe. It co-produces about a half a dozen feature films each year. It also acquires the French distribution rights for US films including Clint Eastwood's Million Dollar Baby. The company's catalog of more than 5,000 French, English, American, and German films includes classic hits such as "The Graduate" and The Producers. StudioCanal is also active in DVD distribution. The company is a subsidiary of Vivendi's CANAL+ Groupe.
