Patriot Scientific proudly designs microprocessors for licensing to other parties. Advanced Micro Devices, which has an equity investment in the company, licenses Patriot's microprocessor patent portfolio. AMD also has the rights to manufacture and sell Patriot's Ignite 32-bit stack microprocessor. Patriot is in litigation over patented microprocessor technology with other MPU suppliers. CASIO COMPUTER, Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard, Hoya, NEC, Nokia, Philips, Sharp, and Sony, among others. have licensed technology from Patriot. The company also owns part of Scripps Secured Data, Inc. (SSDI) and Talis Data Systems, both network security software suppliers.
