When Cranswick fills the food bowl, hungry people show up. The company is a major UK pork processor, selling fresh and processed pork products (sausage, bacon, fresh deli and packaged meats under the Cranswick, Continental, Jack Scaife, Lazenby's, and other labels. It also makes chilled pre-made sandwiches for the convenience food market, as well as offering private-label products and services. The company was long a household name in the European pet-goods market under the George Bucktons name, providing bird and other small animal food and supplies, along with selling pet fish. However, Cranswick sold its pet operations in 2009.
