Gamblers hungry for some action might find themselves shopping at the "gaming supermarket" that is Sportingbet. The global online gambling company (the first UK firm to offer tax-free sports betting) has a variety of casino-style and skill-based games, as well as sports betting, all served up on some 20 Web sites in about 25 different languages. The company also offers sports betting via telephone in some markets. In 2006 Sportingbet sold its US-based gaming operations to Antigua-based Jazette Enterprises after President Bush signed the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, making it illegal for credit card and money transfer companies to accept payments to gambling Web sites.
