Telecom plus uses its plus points to subtract from its customers' phone bills. Operating as the Utility Warehouse Discount Club, the company offers its services to more than 200,000 residential and small business customers in the UK, using the collective power of its clients to negotiate bulk-buying deals with major suppliers. A customer attaches a "Smart Box" to the telephone wall socket, which then re-routes calls through the cheapest supplier. Other products include mobile phone handsets and service; prepaid phone cards; and Freephone plus (toll-free call services). In addition, Telecom plus offers gas and electricity services.
